Ante Up for Africa

On July 2nd, during the World Series of Poker, the 3rd annual Ante Up For Africa will be held at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. The tournament, which features some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, will raise money for Darfur through fast-paced gaming. Hosted by Don Cheadle and Poker Pro Annie Duke, the tournament will feature stars such as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Makhi Phifer.

Now, even though I’m not wonderful at poker, even I want to go to that tournament. First off, it’s for a fantastic cause. It brings to light the harsh reality of what's going on in Africa, a continent that needs our help, and supports the victims in Darfu. Second, have you seen the guest list? I’d love to rub elbows with the likes of Matt Damon. It’ll be like Ocean’s 11 all over again. Only, this time, they’re earning money without stealing it.
