Baby Shark
I’m what you’d call a newbie to poker. I grew up playing classic card games like war and rummy with my grandparents, claiming superiority every time I won. It was only later when I learned that they let me win. Now, in the real world, there are no grandparents sneaking me Aces and Jacks. Instead, I have to make my own luck. After watching numerous Western and Vegas films, I found it important for me to learn the game of poker. I mean, really, what’s more attractive than a girl in her mid-twenties who’s a secret card shark? I started picturing myself with a fedora, cocked eyebrow and full house in my hands. Clearly, this was the right path for me. I learned quite quickly that the game wasn’t exactly as easy as I had hoped. There are rules, lots of rules, and none of them are “go easy on the new girl.” There are bets and calls and antes. There are many different variations of the game. And, most importantly, there are hundreds of ways to lose. And so, with great fear and excitement, I’m starting out of my quest to become an excellent poker player. No, an amazing poker player! I may be a newbie, but I have potential. So, follow along on my quest for greatness and maybe you might even learn something along the way.
