Cake Poker WSOP Packages

Cake Poker is pleased to announce that their no strings attached World Series of Poker (WSOP) satellites tournaments are back. The competitions kicked off yesterday but there is still plenty of time to get in on the action.

While some sites put a lot of restrictions on winners, Cake Poker tries to keep it simple. They let players decide how they run things so when the time comes they can focus on their game- not on weird rules. Stay where you want, play in what you want and even - wear what you want. The site doesn’t care! How you spend the money they give you at the contest is entirely up to you.

There are two different levels of prizes up for grabs a $12,500 prize package and a $2,500 prize package. The tournament for the $2,500 package is done in a step ladder like format. It consists of five steps which people are welcome to buy in at any level. The first Step is $1 and winners of each step get a ticket to the next step so it’s entirely possible to win the package for that tiny investment. The $12,500 package however looks to be a little bit harder. Every day players will have one of two options to qualify for a daily semi-final:

They can enter a Satellite R&A for $3 (+$.30) or they can enter a Satellite Freezeout for $5 (+$.50). Winners from the satellites will be allowed to enter the Semi-Final for $25 (+$2) and the winners from the Semi-Final will move on to one of the Sunday Finals. Winners of the Finals will get the big prize.

Cake Poker Card Room Manager Lee Jones says, "We are excited about this year's World Series and are delighted to offer satellites to our players. Our players get to concentrate and focus on their game, instead of worrying about wearing the proper shirt to keep their free hotel room. We will show our appreciation and reward players who choose to wear our gear, but we're certainly not going to police it. We think our players will appreciate that we want to send them to the WSOP* - for the love of the game, not our corporate objectives."
