The Durrrr Challenge: Dwan and Jungleman12 Take to the Virtual Felt

Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Dan “JungleMan12” Cates kicked off the latest durrrr Challenge recently. The two played 1,651 hands of poker late the other night according to the High Stakes DB and Dwan’s Twitter. Dwan currently has the lead. He made a quick $130,000 off of Cates but it’s still easily any one’s game.
The two will play a total of 50,000 hands and if at the end of those hands Dwan is even $1 up Cates will owe him $500,000. If however, Cates end up on top; Dwan will have to pay him $1.5 million. No matter the result though, someone will walk away with some serious cash.
Players at the TwoPlusTwo poker forums eagerly followed the first day of play. A number of major hands were posted including some major pots. In one hand Dwan scooped up $104,000 with 10-8 for two pairs and in another Cates earned $86,000 after Dwan made an ill-timed bluff.
Dawn confirmed the stats on his twitter feed and said that he received some help from the tasty brain food made by his girlfriend, “My gf made this tasty pasta n rice dish which I ate a bunch of the last few days. Just saw mushrooms in it which I thought I hate- sik life.”
