First World Series of Poker Circuit Stop of 2011 Arrives Near Dallas Today
Although most eyes are glued to the highly anticipated PokerStars Caribbean Adventure set to kick off today in the Bahamas, there is another poker stop that we cannot ignore arriving today as well. So remain calm, we will all get a chance to see who Isildur1 really is and recaps of the events will be on their way to Pokershark as soon as possible but for now, let’s take a peek at what’s going on for the first WSOP circuit event of the New Year.
Arriving today just one hour north of Dallas Texas in Durant Oklahoma’s Choctaw Casino and Resort is the first stop of 2011 for the World Series of Poker circuit events. The stop will include a total of 51 events and will be held over an 18 day period. The main event will be a $1600 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament which will start on January 22nd.
“This is a huge poker market that has clamored for high stakes tournament poker and we’re ecstatic to be hosting a WSOP Circuit in this gorgeous property in Durant,” said the Vice President of the WSOP, Ty Stewart.
There is something for everyone on the schedule including a senior’s event and ladies event and many variations are in the lineup including PLO, PLO 2-7 Triple Draw Mixed, H.O.R.S.E., Omaha and of course, Hold’em.
The main event winner will receive entry into the $1 million WSOPC National Championship taking place at Caesars Palace this May in Las Vegas.
