FTOPS XVI Announced

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is one of the most popular tournament series on the web. It features millions of dollars in guaranteed tournament prizes and it attracts some of the largest player pools in the online gambling business.  

Last week Full Tilt announced this year’s FTOPS XVI and the MiniFTOPS XVI tournaments. They are scheduled to run April 23rd-May 2nd and May 7th-16th respectively. Between the two there will be more then $25 million guaranteed up for grabs. 
 
The FTOPS XVI will kick things off with $18 million in guarantees. There will be more then 30 events including knockout, shootout, turbo and super turbo events. The Main Event for the FTOPS XVI series will have a prize pool of $3 million. There will also be a Two-Day event with a $2 million guarantee. 
 
Each of the events will be hosted by a Full Tilt pro. As of now the assignments of the Full Tilt pros have not been announced but they’re expected to be posted on the Full Tilt Poker’s official site some time soon. 
 
As is customary Full Tilt Poker will reward everyone who makes it to the final table of any of their events with a limited-edition FTOPS jacket. Those who get in a big win will not only receive the jacket but a gold FTOPS jersey and a gold jersey for their Full Tilt avatar. The player who finishes atop the FTOPS XVI Leader board will get a custom avatar and a prize package that includes free entry into all FTOPS XVII Events with the except of the Two-Day event. 
 
This year there will also be an FTOPS Tournament of Champions once the FTOPS XVI series has concluded. It will bring back all the FTOPS winners to compete for a 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event prize package.
