Giddy’s Poker Blog – It Never Rains But It Pours!

You know what they say, “It never rains, but it pours.” There’s another old saying, “Winners can laugh, and the losers make their own arrangements.”

I was playing in a very lively no-limit holdem cash game, when the five cards on the board showed four clubs and one spade. There was over two grand in the pot and both players checked.

The first player announces a 10 high club flush while the other player (who was having a massage by the pretty Abi from Ibiza Angels) says you win and was about to muck his cards into the deck.

However, the other guy demanded to see his two whole cards. The first player refused to show and wanted to muck them and so a rule was called. The card room manager flipped over the two cards…the whole table was in awe to see that the guy had the ace of clubs! He was in more shock saying that he thought he had the ace of spades!

Also it was great to see one of my favourite female poker players Suzanne Gilbert to honour us with her presence on the poker scene over the weekend
