Isildur1 Receives First Challenge on PokerStars with Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton
It must have something to do with the word hack in it, but the last name Haxton sounds a bit intimidating. Let’s just hope that nothing will intimidate online poker phenom and mystery Swede, Isildur1 as he gets ready to take on his first opponent for the SuperStar Showdown on PokerStars, Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton.
An experienced and well accomplished grinder, Haxton has done well for himself as a poker pro including a runner up finish at the 2007 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and 2009 World Series of Poker $40k event. The online and live poker player who goes by the handle, philivey2694 on Stars will be playing 2,500 hands against Isildur1 over the coming weekend.
The two pros will each be bringing a hefty sum of $150,000 to the tables, four in total and play $50/$100 No-Limit Hold’em either until one of them goes broke, or the 2,500 hands are played after which the one with the highest stack will be declared the winner of the first ever SuperStar Showdown.
Although Isildur1, who many believe to be the Swedish pro Viktor Blom, has not even started his work on the SuperStar Showdown, he has already made himself right at home in the world’s biggest online poker room. During his first day as a Team PokerStars Pro, he took down more than $280,000 worth of pots. The next day he did what he has been known to do- He lost it all and then some. For his first week, he’s down about $80k, but that won’t stop him from striking back- which he is also known for doing.
Make sure to stop back on Monday for a full rundown of what happened during the SuperStar Showdown- Haxton vs Isildur1. It may be possible to view the showdown as it happens on PokerStars.com. So create a free account on PokerStars or login to your existing account to see. The event begins on Sunday, December 18th at 6pm ET.
