New 24 Hour French Speaking Poker Channel Coming to France in June

Players from France will be happy to hear that they will soon be able to tune in to a French speaking channel exclusively for the game of poker. The CEO of The Poker Channel is delighted to announce the plans saying “We are happy to launch a channel that is 100% French, and finally give both advertisers and viewers what they hoped for so long. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote the game to an even wider audience, from beginners to pros.”

What is so fascinating about the new channel is the fact that it will provide 24 hour coverage with programs on around the clock- all in the French language! To further show their support in providing shows to the poker enthusiasts of France, the company has named the new channel “The Poker Channel France.” This new channel will also benefit online poker rooms and other advertisers reach a broader audience and make new future customers.

The channel is set to go live on June 8, 2010 and could reach an audience of over 4 million viewers. The channel will appear on the networks, Numerical, Freebox Neufbox (SFR) and Bbox (Boutques Telecom). Coverage of poker’s most popular events including the European Poker Tour (EPT), the World Poker Tour (WPT) and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will all be aired in the French language. There will also be shows providing strategy tips, daily poker related news broadcasts and tournament exclusives.

The Poker Channel scheduled this launch to go along with the brand new online gaming laws which are scheduled to go into effect this summer and will effectively liberate the industry. The Poker Channel is also finishing up long-term marketing partnership deals with a selection of industry operators which will begin when the channel is launched in June.
