New France Stop on the World Poker Tour Announced
The World Poker Tour and Casino Municipal D’Amnesville announced a partnership to create the next WPT stop in France today.
The WPT Amneville 2010 tournament will kick off October 30th and run through November 6th. It will feature a number of qualifiers and side events as well a 3200 + 300€ WPT Main Event.
“The Casino d’Amneville is located at the perfect crossroad for European players, with close proximity to Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. We are delighted to welcome the World Poker Tour to Amneville for this unique French tournament,” said General Manager of the Casino of Amneville, Christophe Schanne.
Players will be able to earn their way into the WPT Main Event through a number of qualifier tournaments, including satellites at The Grand Casino Basel in Switzerland and the Aviation Club de France in Paris. A super-satellite tournament will also take place at the Casino D’Amneville October 29 – November 1.
The winner of the WPT Main Event will not only walk away with the top cash prize but also the glory of being the first to receive that location’s WPT title as well as a Champion bracelet and $25,500 entry into the WPT World Championship at Bellagio.
