Patrik Antonius Losses $826k on Full Tilt
After stacking up over and over again, Patrik Antonius registered a whopping $826k lose by the end of a 434 hand session on Full Tilt yesterday.
His session started at $300/$600 Pot-Limit Omaha against Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies. However, Dwan left the table just a few short hands after Antonius’s arrival and his spot was taken by Cole South for the remainder of the session.
Despite Antonius best efforts, and continuous re-loads, his opponents managed to strip him of over $800k in just two and a half hours.
Sahamies took the biggest chunk of Antonius’s pot, about $436k to be more precise. The Finnish native reaped confidence and played with much skill to record a massive $674k for the session. By the end of the day, Sahamies became the most profitable player on the year, having a total of $1.5 million.
Another player that snatched a hefty sum from Antonius was Cole South. South made over $257k from Antonius and an additional $118k from $100/$200 PLO. Things were looking real good for South until he played Sahamies heads-up at $300/$600 PLO, where he lost $252k.
Full House B says: Sometimes it surprises me at how high of stakes these poker pros play at. Losing 826k would mean the end of the world.
