Poker Pros Take to the Felt to Benefit Autism Foundation Friday
Shanna Moakler is preparing to host the All in 4 Autism Charity Poker Tournament. The event which is scheduled for this Friday at 6pm will take place at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Headlining the event will be the All in 4 Autism National Spokesperson Karina Jett.
The $220 buy-in event will also feature a number of celebrities and poker pros who happen to be in town for the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Just a few of the big names scheduled to make an appearance include Jason Alexander, Chip Jett, Erik Seidel, Dan Henderson, Nicholas Gonzalez, Martin Kampmann, Joe Rietman, Mike Swick, Gina Hecht, Heath Herring and Joe Rietman.
“We are very happy to be partnering with the Golden Nugget, its Grand Poker Series and many of Las Vegas’ finest poker pros and celebrities to host this very special and important charity event,” said Karina Jett. “All monies raised will go to increasing awareness of the limited services for autism in Las Vegas.”
Autism which affects communication, behavior and societal tendencies affects a surprising number of children and families. Nearly 1 in 500 children born in the U.S. each year are diagnosed with the disorder and families are often faced with the added cost of raising such a child. One family can easily spend upwards of $40,000 a year on therapies alone just to help their child develop as normally as possible.
