PokerStars Sunday Million Results Are In

The results are in for the PokerStars Sunday Million and more than a few lucky winners walked away with some big money this past weekend. The promise of a $1.5 million guarantee prize pool brought 9,235 players to the tables for the regular Sunday event raising the prize pool up to $1,847,000. This momentous pool was divided amongst the top 1,350 players, meaning that more than one in nine players walked away with a little something for their troubles.

The big winner of the evening was online player “Mr Brizza” who snagged the top spot on the board. The mostly small time player walked away with the biggest chunk of the prize pool taking home more than $243,843.

The final table rankings for the PokerStars Sunday Million were as follows:

1. Mr Brizza - $243.843.30
2. allaces43 - $213,813.30
3. renassence - $137,509.15
4. Mikey0690 - $92,350
5. elcoysa - $73,880
6. boccakill - $55,410
7. newwavepoker - $36,940
8. Taska85 - $20,317
9. jackmeplz69 - $12,929

Other notable events held at PokerStars.com over the weekend include the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up and the PokerStars Sunday 500. Ironically the Sunday Warm-Up event nearly reached the one million dollar mark itself. Its prize pool totaled $939,000 and its winner TheConcept79 was awarded nearly $150,000. The Sunday 500 however stayed mostly true to its name with a $529k prize pool. Its number one winner was jakoon1985 who earned over $91,305 for his first place finish.
