PokerStars has updated the schedule for the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker. The event is to be held May 2nd-16th and should prove to be one of the biggest and most accessible tournament series of 2010.
In total there will be 38 events not including satellites over the 14 day long tournament. The action-packed schedule includes a wide range of poker games from the standard Texas Hold’em to the high roller Omaha to mixed variants of the game such as HORSE and 8-Game.
"What I find most exciting about SCOOP is that players at all stake levels get an opportunity to play in a championship-level event," said PokerStars Tournaments Team Leader Bryan Slick.
Buy-ins for the events certainly do come in a good range. Players will be able to take part in the May 3rd NL Hold’em 6-Max event for as little as $5.50 at the low end. For the high rollers out there, there will be a NL Hold’em Heads-Up Match Play 2-Day event which can give players a chance at $750,000 for a $25,500 buy-in.
The first event of the series will be one No Limit Hold’em Six-Max events hosted on May 2nd. Buy ins for this event will be set at $22 for the low end (with a chance at a $250,000 prize) and $2,100 for the high end (with a chance at a $1,000,000 prize).
