Sorel Mizzi Leading the Way in Bluff Magazine Player of the Year Race
The 2010 BLUFF Player of the Year race continues to be a close one with players jumping up and down the rankings all the time. For the moment it is Sorel Mizzi who is setting the pace with an incredible tournament year thus far but things could quickly head in another direction.
The North American Poker Tour, European Poker Tour, World Series of Poker Circuit and World Poker Tour will all be hosting events in the coming weeks leading up to the World Series of Poker and there are unparalleled opportunities for players to add to their POY points.
“Winning the Player of the Race was a goal I set at the Aussie Millions,” Mizzi said. “The title is something I want after coming so close to winning OPOY in 2007 when I finished 3rd.”
Other players currently ranked in the top ten include Sam Stein, Scott Seiver and Mclean Karr. Stein has made it to three final tables at PokerStars live events, Seiver has had three major cashes that count towards POY points and Karr went nearly a year without winning anything but hit it big at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event in March.
It’s still anybody’s game though.
The current top twenty players in the 2010 BLUFF Player of the Year Rankings are as follows:
