Tom "durrrr" Dwan Wins Big Leaving Cole South Out in the Cold

Tom “durrrr” Dwan has silenced his skeptics yet again with a major win this week. The poker superstar crushed fellow high roller Cole South in several back-to-back heads up matches on Tuesday at FullTiltPoker.com walking away with about $800k.

Dwan had a bad run of luck in the later part of 2009 but despite everything the big named player never lost his confidence.”… If anyone doesn't think that it's a downswing then they are welcome to cross book me in any game I play in. That's all I have to say,” he told reporters back in December.

With his most recent winnings Dwan has skyrocketed himself to the fifth spot on the 2010 high stakes leader board and pushed his current 2010 profits  up to $1.2 million.

South who has been leading the high stakes board with $3.5 million in total year profits lost a reported $1.2 million across two sessions on Tuesday.

Prior to the two’s session South was down $25,418 from a variety of PLO games and Dwan was down $156,386 from $200/$400 Cap-PLO. The two decided to take it to $200/$400 heads-up PLO where Dwan proceeded to put the hurt on South.

In the biggest hand of the early morning session South lost a $130k pot to Dwan with pair Ks to a nut straight. This would be just one of many major hands that would spell the big named players demise over their two hour session.

Neither player chose to continue their session after their head-up matches.
