UltimateBet’s Aruba Poker Classic Tournament 2009

The Aruba Poker Classic kicks off in 2 days running from October 3 through the 10th. 18 of the most talented poker players in the world have confirmed their seats through the Aruba Poker Classic online tournament. Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Joe Sebok, Adam Levy, Billy Kopp, Bryan Devonshire, Brandon Cantu, Debo34, Hollywood Dave, Liv Boeree, Matt Graham, Michael Binger, P0ker H0, Scott Ian, Shawn Rice and Tiffany Michelle.
The announcement came from UltimateBet today that there are more poker professionals participating in this year’s event than ever before. Although most of the pros are team UB players who represent UltimateBet, the refreshingly unique tournament is attracting some other pros from the same network of poker sites as well.
Lacey Jones and Scott Vengren, players of the poker network CEREUS which includes Absolute Poker and UltimateBet, are also scheduled to take part in the event. Outside of the CEREUS Poker Network, there haven’t been any confirmed players but previous Aruba Poker Classic Tournaments have seen poker pros including Evelyn NG, Mike Matusow, and Johan Storakers.
This will be the 8th year for the Aruba Poker Classic island tournament which takes place at the beautiful Radisson Aruba Resort and Casino. “This is one of my all-time favorite poker tournaments,” said member of team UB, Annie Duke. “While the UB community is famous for gathering together at all sorts of other poker tournaments like the WSOP, Aruba is all about celebrating the successes of UltimateBet’s online poker players. The 2008 Aruba Poker Classic awarded Matt Brady of Pennsylvania a 1 million dollar prize for being the champion of the event.
