World Poker Tournament Releases New Facebook App

All of us Facebook users can testify that poker is quickly becoming one of the most popular games on the social site.  So it’s great news to hear that the World Poker Tour has released a new WPT App.

Texas Hold ‘Em Poker is a new game for Facebook where players can create avatars, purchase extra chips, earn achievements, and play Texas Hold ‘Em against friends on the social site.

WPT Texas Hold 'Em Poker is intended for both advanced and novice Texas Hold 'em players looking for a fun, personalized social gaming experience.

New players are also greeted with a free chip bankroll and may buy extra chip packages and earn achievements. The new game will be offering some sweet prizes too, from official WPT tournament poker chip sets to package deals on the WPT Boot Camp Battle@Sea Cruise, a 7-night VIP poker getaway for 2 on the Mexican Riviera.

The winner of that trip will learn and play with some of the top dogs in poker while taking part in four tournaments with a total prize pool of $200,000.

WPT Texas Hold 'Em Poker players can stay tuned and receive the latest buzz about the game by becoming a fan of Alison Waite's Facebook Page. Alison is WPT Texas Hold 'Em Poker's official hostess and will also provide fun information about poker on her Facebook Page.

The game will be updated frequently and upgraded with new features based on continuous feedback from users.

Full House B says: WPT is going all out on this application. I’m a big fan of the poker games on Facebook but I’m real excited to play this new app.
