WSOP Caesar’s Cup On The Way
As the WSOP Europe draws closer and closer, the line-up for the first event, the Caesar’s Cup, is being finalized. Each team is allowed to have eight poker professionals; at the moment, both teams have four players chosen. Four have yet to be picked. The current lineup is:
Team America: Daniel Negreanu (captain), Phil Ivey, Phill Hellmuth and John Juanda
Team Europe: Annette Obrestad (captain), Peter Eastgate, Dario Minieri and Bertrand Grospellier
The American team seem to be gunning for the multiple bracelet winners (Phil Hellmuth) and final table competitors (Phil Ivey). Whereas, the European team went with youth and excitement over bracelets won (Bartrand Grospellier and Dario Minieri).
The Caesar’s Cup is a made-for-television tournament, which puts the best of the American poker players against the best of the Europeans in a battle to see which country reigns supreme. Each team has eight players led by a captain. The event is scheduled for September 26th during the WSOP Europe at the Casino at the Empire in London. (Source: Gambling911).
If you had to choose, who would you pick next for Team America?
