Mohegan Sun
Mohegan Sun, built in 1996, is one of New England’s finest destinations. They host an indoor 7-story waterfall, the world’s largest planetarium, a crystal mountain and more. Most important, Mohegan Sun is known for their three spectacular casinos that hold over 300,000 square feet of excitement, including smoke-free areas. The three casinos include: Casino of the Wind, Casino of the Sky and Casino of the Earth.
Casino of the Wind is the newest gaming room to hit Mohegan Sun. Just opened in August of 2008, it has over 45,000 square feet of gaming space that includes 680 slot machines, 28 table games, a 42-table Poker room which hosts daily tournaments, and more. In the poker room, Casino of the Wind hosts games such as Omaha, Texas Hold’em and Seven-Card Stud. The casino has a 35-foot high electronic and animated water wall to add to the environment.
Casino of the Sky is one of the largest gaming complexes in the world, hosting 2,400 slot machines, 118 table games, and more. Mohegan Sun’s Casino of the Sky is 119,000 square-feet and has exciting artwork around the room.
Casino of the Earth boasts 180,000 square feet and has 3,700 slot machines, 204 table games, and a special smoke-free hall that contains 600 slots and 12 table games. Surrounded by animal artwork, the Casino of the Earth discusses the circle of life. Inside the casino is Sunrise Square, which hosts a Southeast Asian food court, bus lobby, juice bar and additional gaming space with over 46 table games.
