Phil Laak Poker Endurance Record Broken by Two New Zealanders
Phil Laak made headlines earlier this year when he set a new world record for the longest single session of poker. Guinness stood by as the Unabomber played poker at the Bellagio Poker Room for 115 hours straight (nearly 5 days) in a feat that can only be described as grueling. Many thought his record would hold up for quite some time but now it appears that two players out of New Zealand may have set a new record of their own.

The Unabomber Takes Down First WSOPE Event of the Season
Phil Laak beat out the competition to win his first ever World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet at the ₤2,650 six-handed no-limit hold’em event last night. The poker pro overcame a massive chip disadvantage going into the heads up round against Andrew Pantling. He battled it out with the rising star for more than three hours before ultimately coming out on top.

Phil Laak Fails to Capture Another World Poker Open Win
Phil Laak failed to defend his title at the PartyPoker World Open VI on Wednesday. The world record holder made a good run at the annual event but he came up just short this time around bowing out in fifth place in Heat #5.

End of the Month Bounty at Injured Phil Laak's Unabomber Poker Site
Phil Laak who was recently injured in a high-profile ATV accident will host a special Unabomber Bounty Free Roll on August 31st. As the name implies, the player who knocks out Laak from the tournament will win a special prize, in this case an autographed Unabomber hoodie. One word of warning though, “The receipt of the sweatshirt might be somewhat delayed due to the fact that Laak also broke his writing hand.”
