Currently there are three really decent poker shows that are a must see on television right now. These are Full Tilt Poker’s Poker After Dark, GSN’s High Stakes Poker and the PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge. All three of these shows make for some pretty good poker entertainment as well as a learning experience for those interested in gaining some knowledge through watching others.

Full Tilt Poker has brought players a multitude of amazing online poker promotions over the past few years, but there is nothing quite like the latest new addition to the site’s offerings. The newest promo will award players the ability to play with top pros in high stakes games on television.

The newly-revamped World Poker Tour (WPT) broadcasts will be coming to Fox Sports Net this February. The sports network released a full schedule last week that includes 26 straight weeks of poker action beginning with the Bellagio Cup VI on February 13th and ending with the WPT Championships on August 7th.

Poker fans will be treated to a new poker related TV reality show called 'Young Guns' next year. Expected to air in the second half of 2011 the show will follow the lives of four online poker pros living together in Los Angeles as they attempt to make money over the course of two months from their shared profession.

 The seventh season of GSN's “High Stakes Poker” will begin taping at the Bellagio this week. No members of the media will be allowed inside the poker room and the results of the event will remain a closely guarded secret until the show airs in February. “High Stakes Poker” will return to its regular Sunday Night time slots and PartyPoker pro Kara Scott will once again conduct interviews from table site while Gabe Kaplin provides commentary from the booth.

Jenji Kohan and Matthew Salsberg are working on a new series centered around the world of poker according to Deadline.com.

The co-creators of the popular Showtime series Weeds have been trying to put together a new comedy series about a group of twenty-somethings who live together in Las Vegas and try to win the World Series of Poker. According to the site the show will be called Whales and with any luck it could potentially become a part of the Showtime lineup in the near future.

Season 2 of the PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge is already underway and players have the opportunity to earn a spot on the TV show and test their skills against some of the best in the business by competing on PokerStars.com. 

The producers in charge of the late night NBC show Poker After Dark have put on their thinking caps to attract new viewers and have come up with quite a unique idea. The new theme for this week’s lineup is all about the most eligible bachelors of poker. This should get some extra attention from the ladies!
