Thousands of Dearfoams Slippers to Be Given Away During This Year's WSOP
Thousands of slippers will be given away during this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP). Dearfoams, a company that is known for their super comfy slippers, has signed on as the Official Footwear Sponsor of the WSOP for 2011 and 2012. Their logo will be displayed throughout the annual poker tournament and as part of their promotion plan they will be giving away complimentary slippers to all WSOP Main Event participants and during select additional events, including the Ladies Championship on July 1.

The Winner of Eastgate's WSOP Bracelet Revealed!
The winner of Peter Eastgate's 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event bracelet has finally been revealed to the public. According to Ekstrabladet.dk, well-known Scottish philanthropist and part time poker player William Haughey purchased the bracelet for £94,000 ($147,500) back in November.

Professional Poker Player Terrence Chan Prohibited From Entering US Twice
Terrence “Unassigned” Chan may never step foot in the United States of America again. The Canadian poker pro was blocked from entering the States twice last week by U.S. Customs and Immigration officials despite having all of the proper paperwork. Fed up with officials he wrote in his blog, “And so, it came to pass, that before my 30th birthday, I am declaring myself done with the United States of America.”

Rumors of New Poker Show in the Works by Co-Creators of Weeds
Jenji Kohan and Matthew Salsberg are working on a new series centered around the world of poker according to Deadline.com.
The co-creators of the popular Showtime series Weeds have been trying to put together a new comedy series about a group of twenty-somethings who live together in Las Vegas and try to win the World Series of Poker. According to the site the show will be called Whales and with any luck it could potentially become a part of the Showtime lineup in the near future.
