Poker After Dark Welcomes Annette Obrestad to Show for First Time

There have been many big name poker pros to graze the television screens of Poker After Dark viewers but one player who hasn’t been on the show this far is Annette Obrestad.
She is a Betfair player under the handle “Annette_15” with some mad skill. She will be appearing as a guest and player on the Poker After Dark show in the featured week called “Nicknames Week” in recognition of her nickname, “The Huntress.”
Odds to Make the 2009 WSOP Final Table

Although predictions are already pouring in when it comes to WSOP Player of the Year, it’s unsure if those players will transform their success into a main event win.
For instance, the 2009 WSOP odds to make the final table (played on November 7) don’t list Jeff Lisandro or Ville Wahlbeck, even though both men top the leaderboard this week.

World Series of Poker bracelet record holder, Phil Hellmuth, finished in 14th place at Event #48 – WSOP Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better with winnings of $11,347. So far, Hellmuth has earned over $40,000 at this year’s tournament alone, however it’s far from the six figure amount he’s won in previous years.
Hellmuth reported this weekend on his Twitter account:
"Played the spots off of the cards!! Played one of the best days of poker of my life...Folded As-2s-5c-J: they had A-A-2!! I am out 14th"

Despite his recent bad luck and other poker pros trying desperately to break his record, Phil Hellmuth still holds on to the record for most bracelets won at the World Series of Poker.
Poker pro Johnny “The Orient Express” Chan tried winning his 11th career WSOP championship gold bracelet this year, tying Phil “Poker Brat” Hellmuth Jr., but he fell short. Chan, instead, remains at second place, with Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brusnon with 10 right behind him.
Positive Thinking Helps Hellmuth at WSOP

11 time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, has admitted that negativity has gotten in the way of his poker play. Within the past few days, Hellmuth has changed his attitude and only posted positive thoughts on his Twitter page.
"Only ended day with 11,200, but I feel like i have over 100,000!! Played absolutely great poker, and was perfectly calm!!"

Phil Hellmuth, the World Series of Poker bracelet record holder, recently released a new book entitled Deal Me In. The book is considered a “must read” for any poker player due to its nature. Hellmuth gathered 20 of his professional poker playing friends to reveal all of their secrets.
