European Poker Tour Villamoura Day 2 Results
Day 2 of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Vilamoura Main Event has drawn to a close and 70 players still remain in the running for the title and the €467,835 first place prize. The money bubble will burst later on today when players return for Day 3 of the event so expect players to pull out all the stops when they return to the action.
The chip leader heading into Day 3 is well known pro Brandon Cantu. His aggressive playing style served him well during Day 2 and he is now in a good position to complete the trifecta of poker which includes a World Series of Poker (WSOP) title, World Poker Tour (WPT) title, and EPT title. He still has a long way to go but he’s definitely the one to keep an eye out for during Day 3.
A few of the players you won’t see returning today include Antonio Esfandiari, Sorel Mizzi, Liv Boeree, Allan Baekke, Fatima de Melo, William Reynolds, Vicky Coren, and Dan Heimiller.
Here is a look at the top chips counts heading into Day 3:
Brandon Cantu — 557,400
Andre Coimbra — 476,400
Johan Berg — 384,000
Sam Trickett — 351,900
Grzegorz Cichocki — 339,500
JP Kelly — 314,000
Dmitry Gromov — 305,200
Martin Jacobson — 301,100
Marcin Horecki — 280,500
