Getting to Know Your November Nine: Cuong "Soi" Nguyen

Amateur player Cuong “Soi” Nguyen, a 37 year-old Californian native, originally from Vietnam, will be the oldest player at this year’s final table and is the only non-professional player in the November Nine.
This year’s Main Event is only the fourth live poker tournament the Medical Supplies Salesman has ever competed in though he did cash in the Main Event back in 2008 finishing in 614th place.
His aggressive style has already left its mark on the 2010 WSOP Main Event; over the course of the tournament he built his stack up through a number of aggressive big-stack plays, putting as much pressure on his opponents as possible.
We’ll just have to wait and see if the pressure gets to him when he finds himself up against a number of far more experienced players.
Asked how he feels about his incredible run Nguyen simply stated, “Being the amateur doesn’t bother me at all…This is the best time of my life. I didn’t think I had any shot. I just came for the experience.”
