Getting to Know Your November Nine: John Dolan

John Dolan is a 24 year-old Florida native whose ambition is to win enough money so he only has to play poker when he wants to.

The Bishop Verot grad has been playing poker professionally for the last five years and has cashed five times at the WSOP including a sixth place finish at this year’s $1000 No-Limit Hold’em Event #36.

Although his parents had their reservations about their son dropping out of business studies at Florida State University, they quickly learned he was serious about playing poker. Dollan credits luck more then anything for ending up second in the chip counts saying,

 “Honestly, when I got to the final table [of the day], I picked up some pretty awesome hands.”

If luck remains on his side he could see is dream of playing casually become a reality before the year is out.
