Getting to Know Your November Nine: Joseph Cheong

Joseph Cheong is a 24 year old poker pro from California. He was born in South Korea and immigrated to the U.S. when he was 6 years old.

He has a B.S. in Psychology and a Joint B.A. degree in Math and Economics from the University of California at San Diego. He started playing poker in 2007 while attending college and has already begun laying the groundwork for what could be a very successful career.

He is a WSOP Circuit gold ring winner and has won numerous online tournaments including the Full Tilt Poker $75,000 Guaranteed, the Full Tilt Poker $22,500 Guaranteed, the challenging PokerStars Nightly Seventy Grand, and six $100 buy-in tournaments on PokerStars under the handle “subiime.”

He has already cashed twice at this year’s WSOP and will be third in chips when the November Nine return to play down to a winner.
