Getting to Know Your November Nine: Matthew Jarvis

Matthew Jarvis is a 25 year-old poker pro and full time student from Surrey, British Columbia. He is a regular in the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza tournament series, where he has cashed on several occasions.
His largest live tournament score came in 2009, when he bubbled the final table of the British Columbia Poker Championship. The Main Event will not only be his first cash at the WSOP but no matter the result it will be the largest cash in his career.
The post-secondary business student has a lot of support in his journey his girlfriend was here, two of his best friends and his sister were there to cheer him on every step of the way.
"It's pretty crazy," said Jarvis at the end of Day 8. "This is kind of every poker player's dream. It's nice that the dream has become a reality."
Asked about his plans for the next few months Jarvis said,
"The next four months are going to be a lot of preparation. I am going to take a lot of time off, though. I am not going to play poker for the next month. I am planning to go to Mexico and spend some time with my dad."
