PokerStars Adds Mobile App for Players in the UK

 PokerStars is bringing players an app that allows those in the United Kingdom to enjoy both play and real money poker games on the go. Several mobile devices are compatible with the new software including Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch, and on many Android phones. It will also be available on a selection of table computers.

“PokerStars Mobile is more than just the migration of the existing PokerStars game product to the mobile platform,” said the director of new platforms for PokerStars, Jeffrey Haas.

“It’s an intentional product designed specifically for the form factors of mobile tablet devices, and the different ways people play games on them. This is the best authentic poker experience available for mobile devices today.”

Several real money variations can be accessed through PokerStars Mobile including Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo. Players can enjoy all the multi-table tourneys, sit and gos and ring games just like they would on a laptop or desktop computer.

There is even a multi-tabling feature for those hardcore grinders! Up to give tables on certain devices like the iPad can be played at the same time. Players also have the capability to search the tournament lobby and use the filters to find games and can view hand histories. A chat feature is also part of the software.

“PokerStars Mobile is going to transform where and when I play poker – I now have access to the biggest tournaments and all my favorite cash games, even when I’m not in front of my computer,” said Live Boeree, a Team PokerStars Pro.

“I plan to play all the upcoming UKIPT events and will now be able to play some poker when traveling to or from a tournament.”

The Mobile app was released in Italy less than a month ago and is now available to all players in the UK.
