Tom “Durrrr” Dwan On a Hot Streak this Week

Tom “durrrr” Dwan is well on his way to win another durrrr Challenge. With only 16,758 hands left in his 50,000 hand challenge he has added an additional $343,157 to his winnings and extended his overall lead over opponent Patrik Antonius to $1,755,708.

If Dwan can continue to move at the current pace it looks more than likely that the big named player will win his infamous prop bet and add an additional $500,000 to his bankroll.

2009 may have been a rough one for the big named player but so far this year things have taken a definite upswing. On Saturday Dwan made an impressive $1.3 million dollars in online winnings and just the week before he manage to snag another $543k from two separate matches with Brian Townsend and Cole South.

Even though Dwan and Antonius only played for about an hour. Over the course of those 384 hands there were a number of substantial pots. The biggest pot of the night came in at $213,785.50 and went the way of Dwan. Antonius did manage to pick up a pretty sizeable pot of $184,000 but it was no match for a number of big wins that Dwan managed to take in.

It is doubtful that there will be any challenge play this afternoon since Dwan is currently playing at the San Jose World Poker Tour Bay 101 event but if the big named player gets ousted early on it is certainly possible. Dwan lasted just a couple of hours at the LA Poker Classic. More updates on the challenge as they become available.
