Daniel Negreanu Becomes New Holder for Record Live Poker Winnings
Poker Millionaire Jamie Gold has been holding on to the record for the most live tournament winnings for what seems like forever, but now there is a new man claiming his place.
Daniel Negreanu, also known as the “Poker Kid” has recently exceeded the record held by Gold for live tournament winnings.
The Canadian poker pro, who is arguably one of the most well known players in the poker community, has earned a total of $12,427,047 and is already scheduled to play in another live tournament, in the Bahamas this week.
Gold’s previous record included $12 million dollars in winnings at the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event.
Daniel Negreanu is well known throughout the poker scene as a force to be reckoned with and for his “poker radar”, an uncanny ability to know where other players are playing.
Daniel Negreanu arrived in the Bahamas yesterday to begin playing in this year’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure where celebrities and poker pros will be joined with online qualifiers from all over the world.
