Doyle Brunson Believes Negreanu Will Be Poker Player of the Year
According to Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu is sure to be named the 2009 WSOP Poker Player of the Year.
"Every time I look, Daniel is deep in a tournament," Doyle commented. "Looks like he will be Player of the Year at the WSOP...Congrats (Daniel)…Good job!!"
So far Negreanu, a PokerStars pro, has made a major impact on two WSOP tournaments over the past week. He finished 10th at Event #6 – 7 Card Stud World Championship on June 1 and 2nd at Event #14 – Limit Hold’em Six Handed, which won Negreanu $138,280. He’s close to winning a profitable $200,000 this year and is enjoying his success each step of the way.
If Daniel Negreanu wins the main event at the 2009 World Series of Poker, some gambles will be in luck. Negreanu agreed to pay $450 for every $100 bet at BetUs.com if he were to make it to the final table of nine.
