Gus Hansen has had it pretty rough these past few months. Losing a couple million dollars is no laughing matter. Hansen has made the switch from Omaha and Hold’em tables to high stakes 7-games which is turning out to be the right move for the poker pro who is hoping to reverse that string of bad luck he’s had lately at the tables.
Hansen has improved greatly since making the move and is steadily building back his bankroll. Already he has managed to earn nearly $400 thousand in the Month of October alone. That computes to more than $200k a week!
Hansen’s bankroll seems to be recovering from the plummet it took over the last few months. Half of his profits were won the night before last while playing mixed game tables on Full Tilt where he made a whopping $219 thousand and went to bed with the night’s biggest earnings.
In a pot-limit Omaha game on the same night, he made an astonishing $114 thousand from one pot alone! Hansen went up against Ziigmund and came into the turn with the top pair and a flush draw. Ziigmund had a straight draw and the lower pair. The River came and Hansen had the top two and scooped up the massive pot.
John Juanda was among one of the biggest losers of the evening managing to lose over $193 thousand by the end of the night.
