Online Poker Pro Justin Bonomo Announces Move to Malta

Justin Bonomo has decided to pack up and head to the island of Malta to pursue his online poker career after remaining in the US for several months from the DOJ indictments of the top three online poker rooms. He is just one of the many successful US online poker pros that fell victim to the seizures and were left stranded without a place to play, not to mention many lost a lot of money.

Bonomo made the announcement on Thursday, August 18^th via his Twitter page saying, “I guess now is as good a time as any to announce that I’m moving to Malta. My cousin’s wedding is in Virginia on 9/16, and there’s a WPT in Malta on 9/20, so hopefully I’ll have all my stuff together in time to leave straight from the wedding to live in Malta.”

It looks like Bonomo isn’t planning on coming back anytime soon either also posting, “Keep an eye on my facebook statuses if you have any interest in my Apartment, Furniture, or car (2009 G37 under 9k miles).”

We here at Pokershark want to wish Bonomo all the best as he prepared to relocate in the wake of Black Friday. Of all the places he could have chosen, Malta has got to be one of the best places for sure. With tons of poker action and the perfect climate, Bonomo is probably just the first of several US online pros who choose to make Malta their new home.
