Vanessa Rousso Places 2nd at NBC Heads Up Championship
Vanessa Rousso was presented with very long odds to win the NBC Heads Up Championship sponsored by GoDaddy. As a relatively new player, first making a name for herself in 2007, she was up against pros with years of experience. But, with the NBC Heads Up Championship, she proved everyone wrong earning a 2nd place finish to Huck Seed.
Beating out Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Paul Wasicka, Daniel Negrean and Bertrand Grospellier was especially impressive. Rousso’s 2nd place finish earned her $250,000 and the title of next big thing for woman in poker. Currently a player for Poker Stars, Rousso was signed by GoDaddy, along with Mike Matusow, to star in their upcoming marketing campaign.
Her next tournament takes her to the World Poker Tour in Venice this May.
