Born on April 23, 1969 in Avignon, France, Soulier originally pursued a career in the film industry. He found some success and even directed an award winning TV series but after winning a slew of poker tournaments he realized that playing cards was his true passion. He quit his media job to move to the United States and quickly found success on the live tournament circuit ranking as the top earning French player from 2001-2006 and according to Cardplayer, one of the top five players in the world in 2006. In 2009 he cashed seven times at the WSOP and in 2010 alone he earned close to $1 million in live tournament earnings.

A skilled all-around player Fabrice has excelled not only at Texas Hold’em, but also in Mixed Games, Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., and 7-card stud. Fabrice is largely regarded as one of the best Omaha players in the world but he still routinely plays Texas Hold'em.

Not one to shy away from the media, Soulier has appeared on numerous television poker programs over the years and was even one of the featured characters in the 2006 poker documentary “That's Poker.”

Very highly regarded in France, Soulier was given the honor of being named the leader of France's World Team of Poker team in 2011. As leader he was allowed to decide which players would get the chance to join him in representing France on the world stage and was given the final say in all team decisions.
