Jeff Madsen

He won his first WSOP bracelet at the 2006 World Series of Poker in a no limit hold’em event. He was 21 years and five weeks old at the time making him the 3^rd youngest player to win a WSOP event winning his self $660,948. At the time of his win, he was the youngest player ever to win a WSOP bracelet.

He also finished third place in the WSOP $2000 Omaha high-low split event just two weeks prior to the bracelet win taking home $97,552. Six days after winning his first event, he won another WSOP title and cashed in an additional $643,381, in the $5000 no limit shorthanded event and then another $65,971 in the $1000 Seven Card Stud high low split event. This totaled an astonishing four top 3 finishes in his first ever WSOP.  Full Tilt immediately sponsored him as a one of their pros.

A year later, Madsen made it in the money in his first World Poker Tour event, the Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship finishing in eighth place. Madsen’s ability to win so much money in such a small amount of time has earned him wide spread recognition for being one of the best. His success is even more surprising considering that he only began playing poker at 18 years old at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California.

Madsen contributes his success at the poker tables to his keen sense of reading players which stems from watching a lot of films where he had to study the people. His unique ability to know how to play aggressively has helped him win over 1.5 million dollars in less than a month! Madsen plans to finish up his education and plans for a career as a film writer and director in addition to playing poker. He is sure to be successful at both.
