Joe Hachem

Joe Hachem was the 2005 WSOP champion, winning an astonishing $7.5 million dollars. Born in 1966 in Lebanon, Hachem moved to Australia in 1972. There, he became both a husband and father of four children. After 13 years of being a chiropractor, Hachem developed a rare condition that prevented him from using his hands to do his job. As an alternative, he became a full time mortgage broker and recreational poker player. He played live in Melbourne and online at PokerStars. In 2005 Hachem competed in a small event which earned him $28,000. Using part of that money, he pursued his dream of competing in the WSOP and bought in on the main event. Ever since winning, he’s been traveling the world in search of more tournaments all while keeping true to the most important thing in his life: his family.
