Seven card stud ( low in the hole wild ) >> Help !! I got screwed ... I think !!

I played a game this weekend and I believe I was totally screwed out of a winning hand because the other 5 players didn't agree with my hand !! Here is what happened ..... Playing 7 card stud ( low in the hole wild ) I had the following cards up... 5 of clubs, 4 of clubs, 2 of diamonds, and a King of hearts ...... I had a Ace of clubs and a 9 of hearts in the hole .... I asked for my last card down and it was the 2 of clubs !!! Of course I get happy because I have the duece on the board so when the last call was made between my self and one other player who had a full boat I knew I had won the game ..... wrong !!! The player with the full house started crying that I can't use the Ace of clubs as the low card for my straight flush because it wasn't my low card in the hole .... I was told I couldn't have it both ways. The rest of the table agreed with him even though I explained that once the cards are flipped over it is MY discretion where I want the Ace ..... I told them I could use it as a high card or a low card ..... Is there anybody out there who can feel my pain ??
