The Winner of Eastgate's WSOP Bracelet Revealed!
The winner of Peter Eastgate's 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event bracelet has finally been revealed to the public. According to Ekstrabladet.dk, well-known Scottish philanthropist and part time poker player William Haughey purchased the bracelet for £94,000 ($147,500) back in November.

Cake Poker Taking Donations to Provide Families in Need with Donkeys this Holiday Season
In poker calling someone a donkey is one of the worst insults you can make. Often shortened to Donk it basically means you think the player doesn't know how to play the game and that they make terrible poker players. Cake Poker is asking players to salute their favorite “donkey” this month and help out Oxfam which provides working animals (such as donkeys) to families in need around the world.

Poker Player Pledges to Donate 100% of His WSOP Winnings to Charity
Michael Karnjanaprakorn, an entrepreneur from New York, has come up with an interesting proposition. The player has agreed to pledge 100% of his World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event winnings to charity should he be able to raise enough funds to pay for the $10,000 buy-in.

Jennifer Harman’s ASPCA Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament a Success
Jennifer Harman’s Fourth Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament was a raging success. Stars from across the country turned out at The Venetian’s Poker Room on Tuesday to help benefit the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Just a few of the big names to have competed for the title included Holly Madison, Lou Diamond Philips, Dennis Haskins, Robert Iler, Shaun Sipos, Louie Anderson, Carrot Top, Jennifer Tilly, Nancy Brunson, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Andy Block and Michelle Lawson.
